Nettie Mae Hillis, the daughter of the late Thomas L. and Oma Lewis Hillis, was born in Center Ridge, Arkansas on October 31, 1916, and passed away at the St. Francis Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee on December 25, 2005, at the age of 89 years, 1 month and 24 days. She had lived in the Dexter, Missouri for many years until moving to Memphis, Tennessee a few years ago. She was a member of the Getwell Church of Christ in Memphis, Tennessee. Surviving are one brother, Leonard S. Hillis of Memphis, Tennessee, three nieces, five nephews, and several great nieces and nephews. Other relatives and many friends also survive. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Lawrence and T. L. Hillis and three sisters, Ressie Flowers, Ruby Alma HIllis, and Ellen Eason. Friends may call after 1:00 PM on Wednesday, December 28, 2005, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, December 28, 2005, at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter with Bro. Dale Grissom of Dexter, Missouri officiating. Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery in Dexter, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
