Obituary of Karen Oliver

Karen Jeannine Oliver of Bloomfield, Missouri born to the late William and Wilma (Isom) Shockley on July 28, 1951 in Cairo, Illinois and passed away in Chesterfield, Missouri on September 19, 2021 at the age of 70 years. Karen married Johnnie Lee Oliver on October 03, 1970 in Canalou, Missouri until his passing on December 21, 2001. She was a member of the Mt. Zion-Walker General Baptist Church. She loved to sing and spend time with her grandson. Karen is survived by one daughter Juliana Oliver of Bloomfield, Missouri and one grandson Jareth Surface. She was preceded in death by her parents William and Wilma Shockley; her husband Johnnie Lee Oliver; two brother Terral Shockley and Billy Shockley; two sisters Betty Burns and Anne Carnell. A host of family and friends also survive. Visitation will be held on Thursday September 23, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter. Funeral Services will be held on Friday September 24, 2021 at 11 a.m. at Mt. Zion-Walker General Baptist Church in Bloomfield, Missouri with Brother Mike Lee of Advance, Missouri officiating. Interment will be in the Matthews Community Cemetery in Matthews, Missouri. With Watkins and Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
