Lois Bowling, the daughter of the late George Wilburn, Sr. and Myrtle Ivy Vede Dell Rogers Haskins, was born in Dover, Arkansas on October 7, 1926, and passed away at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Missouri on December 11, 2005, at the age of 79 years, 2 months and 4 days. Mrs. Bowling had lived most of her life in Bloomfield. She was a retired seamstress with Elders Manufacturing. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bloomfield, Missouri. On October 25, 1941, she was married to James D. Bowling in New Madrid, Missouri. Surviving are her husband, James Bowling of Bloomfield, Missouri; one daughter, Lesa Uht of Bloomfield, Missouri; two grandchildren, Jonathan and Sara Uht; and one brother, George Wilburn Haskins, Jr. of Cape Girardeau. Other relatives and many friends also survive. Private memorial services will be held at a later date. Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
