Obituary of Theoplis Clark
Theoplis Clark, son of the late Theodore and Bernice Clark was born in Essex Missouri on February 20, 1928 and passed away at his home in Essex Missouri on November 28, 2020, at the age of 92 years.
Mr. Clark had lived around the Essex and Penermon area his entire life. He was a deacon of the Bethel Ame Church in Sikeston Missouri and had worked at Tyson for 20 years before he retired. He loved working in his yard and being outside.
On May 10, 1947 he was married to Onie Perkins Clark in Parma Missouri. She preceded him in death on October 12, 2014.
Surviving are his children, five sons Theoplis (Lily) Clark Jr. of Bernie Missouri, Ray Lavern (Joyce) Clark of South Haven, Mississippi, Glenn Edward Clark of Malden Missouri, Keal (Lily) Clark of Essex Missouri, and Marvin (Darlene) Crigler of Chesapeake Bay Virginia; three daughters, Bernice (William) Grayer of Essex Missouri, Eliza Johnson of Sikeston Missouri, and Lula Crigler of Chicago Illinois; 17 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; two great great grandchild; four brothers David Clark, Charles Clark, Ardean Clark and Theodore Clark ; two sisters Margarite Clark and Linda Raston. A host of relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by two grandsons, Myron Keith Johnson and Ray Lavern Clark Jr; one great grandson Courtney Grayer; three brothers Lee Clark, Lee Clark and James Clark and three sister Darlene Clark, Lorene McKeller and Gloria Adams.
Family and friends may visit Saturday December 5, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri.
Funeral services will be held Saturday December 5, 2020 at 12:00 p.m. at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter Missouri with his son Rev. Glenn Clark of Poplar Bluff Missouri officiating.
Interment with be in the Macedonia Cemetery in Malden Missouri with Watkins and Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
