

Obituary of Gary Don Smith
Gary Don Smith of Wentzville, MO passed away at SSM St. Joseph Hospital in Lake Saint Louis on November 24, 2020. He was 73 years old. Born August 29, 1947 in Morehouse, MO. to Anna LaVerne Moore Smith and the late Don Willis Smith. Gary grew up in the Morehouse area. He worked at the International Hat Factory in Dexter, MO before going to work at Arvin Automotive and retiring from that facility in January 2012. He spent his retirement spending time with family and reading.
Gary is survived by his mother, Anna LaVerne Smith of Poplar Bluff, MO., three daughters, Glenna (Gary) Head of Aurora, MO., Tonjia (Kyle) Hardesty of Wentzville, MO., and Stacy (Joe) Dunivan of Puxico, MO., 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. One sister, Louise (Bill) Britton of Sikeston, MO. and 1 brother, Larry Smith of Poplar Bluff, MO. and other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his dad, Don Willis Smith.
Funeral Services will be visitation from 11:00-1:00 on Saturday November 28, 2020 at Waktins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, MO. with Graveside Services immediately following at Hagy Cemetery in Dexter with Pastor Steven Burns of Cornerstone Tabernacle United Pentecostal Church in Poplar Bluff, MO. officiating.
