Obituary of Janet Rushin

Janet Rushin of Bloomfield, daughter of the late Howard Baker Burgess and Martha "Vanita" Marquis Burgess, was born in Painton, Missouri on June 21, 1938, and passed away in Bloomfield, Missouri on November 7, 2020, at the age of 82. She was a member of the Lick Creek Missionary Baptist Church. She enjoyed fishing, working in her garden and writing in her journal. She worked for many years at the 3 Brothers Restaurant in Bloomfield. On June 5, 1956 Janet was married to Emet "Riley" Rushin in Bloomfield, Missouri. Surviving are her husband Riley of Bloomfield, five sons: Stephen Rushin of Aquilla, Charles "Tony" Rushin of Dexter, Jeff Rushin of Bloomfield, Mike Rushin of Anna, Illinois, and Colin Jones of Bloomfield. Many grandchildren; several great grandchildren and a host of great-great-grandchildren. Other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by two sisters: Mary Velma Crowell and Barbara Jean Blake. Visitation will be held on Thursday November 12, 2020 at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Bloomfield starting at 10:00 am until service time. Funeral services will also be Thursday November 12, 2020 at 12:00 pm at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Bloomfield, with Rev. Dwight Hensley officiating. Burial will follow at the Harper Cemetery near Bloomfield, Missouri with Watkins and Sons Funeral Service handling all arrangements.
