Lillie Mae Johnson, the daughter of the late Jonas and Emma Porter, was born in Bernie, Missouri on January 16, 1926, and passed away at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Missouri on October 31, 2005, at the age of 79 years, 9 months and 15 days. She had lived in Southeast Missouri all her life and was a resident of Sikeston at the time of her death. She was a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Grayridge, Missouri. On August 11, 1970 she was married to Roosevelt Johnson, Sr. at Essex, Missouri. He preceded her in death on October 6, 1985. Surviving are three sons and daughters in law: Robert & Annette Johnson of Malden, Missouri, Roosevelt & JeanetteJohnson, Jr. of Lilbourn, Missouri and Earnest Johnson of Chicago, Illinois, four daughters and sons in law: Hazel Johnson of Parma, Missouri, Sandra Johnson of Parma, Missouri, Willa Bell & Willie Clark of Portageville, Missouri and Alice & Walter Combs of Sikeston, Missouri, 18 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, and one brother and sister in law: Ralph & Jean Porter of Chicago, Illinois. Also a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by one brother: Clarence Porter and one sister: Mary Kyle. Friends may call from 12:00 Noon to 1:00 PM on Saturday, November 5, 2005, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, November 5, 2005, at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter with the Rev. Leroy Williams of Poplar Bluff, Missouri officiating. Interment will follow in the Macedonia Cemetery in Malden, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
