Donald G. Heiligtag, the son of the late Raymond and Esther Pogue Heiligtag, was born in St. Louis, Missouri on November 28, 1936, and passed away at the Puxico Nursing & Rehab Center in Puxico, Missouri on September 22, 2005, at the age of 68 years, 9 months and 24 days. Mr. Heiligtag lived in St Louis until moving to Puxico, Missouri seven years ago. He enjoyed racing cars and fishing. He was a Heavy Equipment operator with Perkins Contaracting in St. Louis, Missouri and was a member of Local Union #513. On August 19, 1996 he was married to Marilyn Payton in Corning, Arkansas. Surviving are his wife, Marilyn Heiligtag of Puxico, Missouri; three sons, Donald Heiligtag of St. Louis, Missouri, Wayne Heiligtag of Villa Ridge, Missouri, Michael Heiligtag of Deland, Florida; two daughters, Maureen Crocker of Belgrade, Missouri, Janice Ford of House Springs, Missouri; one step-son, Troy Faries of Troy, Missouri, seven grandchildren, three great grandchildren; and one sister, Marjorie Smith of Park Hills, Missouri. Other relatives and friends also survive. Friends may call at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Puxico on Saturday, September 24, 2005, after 9:30 AM. Graveside funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2005, at 12:30 PM at the Puxico Cemetery in Puxico, Missouri with the Rev. Wiley McGee of Puxico, Missouri officiating. Interment will follow in the Puxico Cemetery in Puxico, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Puxico, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
