Benny C. Buchanan Benny C. Buchanan, the son of the late Collis and Eva J. Jackson Buchanan was born in Dexter, Missouri on August 4, 1935, and passed away at the Yuma Regional Medical Center in Yuma, Arizona on May 19, 2005, at the age of 69 years, 9 months and 15 days. Mr. Buchanan had lived in Dexter, Missouri most of his life and was a owner operator of a trucking company. He served in the U.S. Army and was a member of American Legion and Masonic Lodge in Bernie, Missouri. On July 26, 1952, he was married to Rebecca Moore in Pocahontas, Arkansas. Surviving are his wife: Rebecca Buchanan of Dexter, Missouri, one son: Rick Buchanan of Dexter, Missouri, one daughter: Terri Hager of Westwood, New Jersey, three grandchildren, two brothers: William Buchanan of Inverness, Florida and Robert Buchanan of Sikeston, Missouri. Other relatives and many friends also survive. Friends may call at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri on Wednesday, May 25, 2005, from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 26, 2005, at 11:00 A.M. in the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter, Missouri with Bro. Dale Shoup of Joplin, Missouri officiating. Interment will follow in the Bernie Cemetery in Bernie, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, Missouri is in charge of arrangements.
