Wilma McGuire

Wilma "Pinkie" A. McGuire, daughter of the late Parvin, Sr. and Cozette Hester Williamson, was born in Essex, Missouri on October 21, 1949, and passed away at the Southeast Health Center of Stoddard County in Dexter, Missouri on January 27, 2014, at the age of 64 years, 3 months and 6 days. She had lived in Essex, Missouri all her life. She had worked for Elders Manufacturing for 29 years and had served as President of the Union for many years. She also worked at the Essex One Stop until she retired. Surviving are one daughter, Kelly Smith of Dexter, Missouri; one son, Jonathan McGuire of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; four grandchildren and spouse, Sha & Mickala Waller of Essex, Bradley Pope of Puxico, Matthew McGuire of Essex, Ryland McGuire of Delta; two great grandchildren, Brody Lee and Gunner Ray Waller both of Essex; one brother and wife, Parvin, Jr. and Carolyn Williamson of Dexter, Missouri. Other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Larry Joe and Tim Williamson. Friends may visit on Friday, January 31, 2014, after 10:00 a.m. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri. Funeral services will be held Friday, January 31, 2014, at 1:00 p.m. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri with the Rev. James Malloy of Essex, Missouri officiating. Interment with be in the Triplett Cemetery near Dexter, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
