Wilma Long Ellis, daughter of the late George Everett and Virgie Monroe Long, was born in Bloomfield, Missouri on October 15, 1919, and passed away at the Elmcroft of Hendersonville Care Center in Hendersonville, Tennessee on October 2, 2011, at the age of 91 years.
Mrs. Ellis had lived in Pine Bluff, Arknasas where she worked at the Pine Bluff Arsenal. She later moved to Hendersonville, Tennessee. She was a member of the Southern Baptist Church.
She was married to William Dorris Ellis and he preceded her in death in November of 1980.
Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Linda & Harvey Gardner of White House, Tennessee; and one grandchild. Other relatives and friends also survive. In addition to her parents & husband she was preceded in death by one brother, Marvin Long.
Graveside services will be on Monday, October 3, 2011, at 2:00 PM in the Walker Cemetery.
Interment will be in the Walker Cemetery in Bloomfield with Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home of Bloomfield in charge of arrangements.
