William Eaker, son of the late Hermel and Ina Fortner Eaker, was born in Parma, Missouri on January 8, 1930, and passed away at the Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter, Missouri on July 21, 2011, at the age of 81 years, 6 months and 13 days. Mr. Eaker had lived briefly in St. Louis but had lived most of his life in Bloomfield, Missouri. He was a retired carpenter and farmer. On January 2, 1960, he was married to Erma McConnell in Potosi, Missouri. Surviving are his wife, Erma Eaker of Bloomfield, Missouri; two sons, Ernie Morton of Bloomfield, Missouri, Roy Morton of Barnhart, Missouri; five grandchildren; one great grandchild; and one brother, Edward Eaker of Morehouse, Missouri. Other relatives and many friends also survive. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother. Friends may call on Sunday, July 24, 2011, from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield, Missouri. Graveside funeral services will be conducted on Monday, July 25, 2011, at 10:00 am in the Walker Cemetery near Bloomfield, Missouri. Interment will be in the Walker Cemetery near Bloomfield, Missouri with Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home of Bloomfield, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
