Wilena "Denkins" Tompkins Wilena "Denkins" Tompkins, the daughter of the late William Cletus and Julia "Ma" Menley Denkins, was born in Dexter, Missouri on April 21, 1944, and passed away at the Mineral Area Hospital in Farmington, Missouri on September 21, 2006, at the age of 62 years and 5 months. Mrs. Tompkins had been a resident of the Dexter, Missouri area most of her life. She was of the Baptist Faith. Surviving are two sons; Tony Heaton and his wife Pam of Wappapello, MO, their three children; Michael and his wife Rhonda, Casey and Shelby; Jason Jines and his wife Patty of Dexter, MO; their two children; Coty and Trevor; two daughters; Jamie Jenkins and her husband David of Poplar Bluff, MO, their daughter; Sarah; Wren Wilkerson and her husband Brian of Puxico, MO, their four children; Jesse, Brice, Gracey and Lanie; three brothers; Bill Denkins of Puxico, MO, Ted Denkins of Dexter, MO and David Denkins of Bloomfield, MO, one sister; Betty Acton of Dexter, MO. Other relatives and many friends also survive. She was preceded in death by one sister; Shirley Jeters of Dexter. Visitations will be from 5:00 to 8:00 PM on Saturday, September 23, 2006, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, September 24, 2006, at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter with Rev. Buddy Heaton of Bloomfield, MO officiating. Interment will follow in the Hagy Cemetery in Dexter, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
