Wilbur Allen McClain

     Wilbur Allen McClain of Bloomfield, Missouri, the son of the late Orville and Gertie May (Harrell) McClain was born on March 3, 1935,  in Bloomfield, Missouri, and passed from this life on October 16, 2023, at the age of 88 years.
     Wilbur was a Army National Guard Veteran and was of the Baptist Faith.  He was a former Mason, loved golf, play music and telling stories but his true passion was spending time with family especially spoiling his grandchildren.
     He married Kathryn Graves on September 10, 1955, in Desoto County, Mississippi, and remained married until the time of her passing on March 2, 2022.
     He is survived by two daughters, Cindy (Gary) Hayes of Bloomfield, Missouri; Kathryn Jane (Steve) Nickall of Lexington, Missouri; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one brother, Ray McClain of Bloomfield, Missouri; as well a host of family and friends.
     Wilbur was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; five brothers, Rudolph, Mayo, Charles, Jiggs and Jack McClain; three sisters, Ruth Moore; Terza Cope and Violet Volmer.
     A Graveside Service will be held Friday, October 27, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. with Interment to follow at the Bloomfield Cemetery with Pastor Charles Robertson of Bloomfield officiating with Watkins And Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of all arrangements.
