Wayne Underhile of Dexter, son of the late Lester E. and Minnie Lee Busby Underhile, was born in French Camp, California on April 19, 1928, and passed away at his home in Dexter on December 31, 2017, at the age of 89 years, 8 months and 12 days.
Wayne had lived in California before moving to Dexter in 1993. He had worked as a supervising security officer for Kiser Aluminum in California. He enjoyed motorcycle riding and playing pool.
Surviving are two sons, Phillip Underhile of Ookala, Hawaii, Vincent Underhile of Brentwood, California; two daughters, Cindy Underhile of Manteca, California, Lisa McFarland of Brentwood, California; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-three great grandchildren; three brothers, Mark Underhile of Dexter, David Underhile of Edmond, Oklahoma, Robert Underhile of Prairie Duchien, Wisconsin; three sisters, Naomi Baily and Leona Dement both of Dexter and Sandra McCormick of Fairdealing, Missouri. Other relatives and many friends also survive. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Donna Mason.
Friends may come to the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter on Thursday at 9:30 a.m. to go in procession to the Missouri Veteran's Cemetery for graveside service at 10:00 a.m.
Interment will be in the Missouri Veteran's Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
