Wayne Hargrave, son of the late Richard and Wilmoth Morton Hargrave, was born in Sturdivant, Missouri on July 20, 1936, and passed away at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri on March 16, 2016, at the age of 79 years, 7 months and 25 days.
Mr. Hargrave had lived most of his life in Puxico, Missouri. He was a member of the Duck Creek Baptist Church and the Puxico Masonic Lodge #596, A.F. & A.M. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy and U. S. Air Force.
On August 22, 1987, he was married to Sandra Shrum in Wappapello, Missouri.
Surviving are his wife, Sandra Hargrave of Puxico, Missouri; one daughter and son-in-law, Charity and Adam Rush of Bismark, Missouri; one grandson, William Rush of Bismark, Missouri; and one sister, Janice Elledge of Wappapello, Missouri. Other relatives and many friends also survive. He was preceded in death by one son, Gary Wayne Hargrave; seven brothers, Bloyce, Chesley, Dennis, Frank, Leland, Clinton and Oran Pete Hargrave.
Friends may call on Friday, March 18, 2016, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Puxico, Missouri. Masonic services will be held at 7.00 pm.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Duck Creek Baptist Church in Puxico, Missouri with Rev. Buck Cruse of Puxico, Missouri officiating.
Interment will follow in the Elliott Cemetery near Puxico, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Puxico, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
