Wanda Jean Trout, daughter of the late Charles Glen and Mattie Ardele Milam Gunter, was born in Benton, Missouri on August 11, 1932, and passed away at the Puxico Nursing & Rehab Center in Puxico, Missouri on March 16, 2011, at the age of 78 years, 7 months and 5 days.
She had lived in the Puxico area most of her life. She was a member of the Pleasant Valley Missionary Baptist Church near Puxico, Missouri. She loved to play bingo, enjoyed reading, especially her Bible and loved being with her grandchildren.
On February 9, 1974, she was married to James William "Bill" Trout in Puxico, Missouri. He preceded her in death on June 24, 2005.
Surviving are one son, Kent Whitsel of Colorado Springs, Colorado; four step-sons, Charles Ray Trout of Bloomfield, Missouri, Randy Trout of St. Louis, Missouri, Jim & Dennis Trout both of Puxico, Missouri; thirteen grandchildren; and several great grandchildren. Other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by two sons, Steve & Larry Whitsel.
Visitation will be Tuesday, March 22, 2011, after 10:00 AM at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Puxico, Missouri.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 22, 2011, at 1:30 PM at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Puxico with the Rev. Ray Placher of Puxico, Missouri officiating.
Interment will be in the Missouri Veteran's Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Puxico in charge of arrangements.
