Wanda Sanders, the daughter of the late George Landy and Sallie Jewel Robison Maddox, was born in Choctaw, Arkansas on November 4, 1939, and passed away at her home in Essex, Missouri on April 17, 2006, at the age of 66 years, 5 months and 13 days.
She had lived in St. Charles, Illinois before moving to Dexter, Missouri in 1970. In 1991 she moved to Essex, Missouri. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Essex, Missouri.
In July of 1973, she was married to Roy G. Sanders in Dexter, Missouri.
Surviving are her husband, Roy G. Sanders of Essex, Missouri; two daughters, Linda L. Caldwell of Dexter, Missouri, Ginger & George Jaco of Jackson, Missouri; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; two sisters, Sylvia Hurst of Bloomfield, Missouri and Loene Bradford of Clinton, Arkansas. Other relatives and many friends also survive. She was preceded in death by one sister, Helen Easley and five brothers, Bill Dean, Bobby, Billy George, John and Tommy Maddox.
Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, April 18, 2006, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, April 19, 2006, at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter, Missouri with the Rev. Gary Gilbert of Essex, Missouri officiating and Manny Alvarado of Sikeston, Missouri assisting.
Interment will be in the Hagy Cemetery in Dexter, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
