Wanda Lee Parks, the daughter of the late Roy and Ethel Wright Hyslop, was born in Dexter, Missouri on September 1, 1923, and passed away at Crowley Ridge Care Center in Dexter, Missouri on March 14, 2007, at the age of 83 years, 6 months and days.
Mrs. Parks had lived in the Dexter area all her life. She was a Baptist.
On July 4, 1942, she was married to Eugene Ernest Parks. He preceded her in death on November 14, 2005.
Surviving are one son, Dale Parks of Dexter, Missouri; two daughters, Kathy Holt of Nampa, Idaho, Jeanie Lantz of Columbia, South Carolina; eight grandchildren; severa great grandchildren; two brothers, Paul Hyslop of Dexter, Missouri, Charles Hyslop of Birchtree, Missouri; three sisters, Betty Summers of Dexter, Missouri, Florence Bright of Jackson, Missouri and Bonnie Brown of St. Louis, Missouri. Other relatives and many friends also survive. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Lisa Coleman; a brother and sister in infancy; four brothers, Jim, Robert, & Arthur Hyslop; and two sisters, Vivian Nichols and Mary Curd.
There are no services scheduled.
Interment will follow at a later date in the Fairview Cemetery near Puxico, Missouri with Watkins and Sons Funeral Home of Dexter, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
