Wanda B. Jarrell, the daughter of the late Albert and Elsie Thompson Layton, was born in Cline's Island near Bloomfield, Missouri on June 2, 1937, and passed away at the Golden Living Center in Bloomfield, Missouri on January 28, 2008, at the age of 70 years, 7 months and 26 days.
Mrs. Jarrell had lived in the Bloomfield, Missouri area all of her life.
On June 16, 1954, she was married to L. D. Jarrell in Bloomfield, Missouri. He preceded her in death on February 1, 1965.
Surviving are three daughters & sons-in-law, Debbie & Roy Pullum of Dexter, Missouri, Linda & Denny Griffin of Bloomfield, Missouri, Ellen & Orville Clifton of Malden, Missouri; three sons & daughters-in-law, James & Sue Jarrell, Larry & Tina Jarrell all of Bloomfield, Missouri, Clifton & Kathy Jarrell of Dexter, Missouri; seventeen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Other relatives and many friends also survive. She was preceded in death by six brothers, Bob, Ira, James, Raymond, Rudolph and Elvis Layton and four sisters, Cozette Lawrence, Mary DeJournett, Ollie Tidwell and Stella Shielba.
Friends may call on Thursday, January 31, 2008, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 1, 2008, at 10:30 AM at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter, Missouri with the Rev. Dell Hartlein of Indiana officiating.
Interment will follow in the Hagy Cemetery in Dexter, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
