Wade Vancil of Dexter, son of Doran and Wanda Jones Vancil, was born in Poplar Bluff on November 27, 1965, and passed away at the Southeast Health Center of Stoddard County in Dexter on January 22, 2020, at the age of 54 years, 1 month and 26 days.
He had lived in the Dexter area all of his life. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, collecting arrowheads and rock hunting. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Dexter.
All who knew Wade, knew how full of life he was. He was the life of the crowd and was always there for anyone who needed him. He had more friends than anyone could ever count and if you were his friend then you know you were his family.
Surviving are his wife, April Vancil of Dexter; one daughter, Ashley Vancil of Dexter; one step-son, Jeff Hull of Dexter; his parents, Doran & Wanda Vancil of Dexter; three grandsons, Clayton, Aidan and Liam McGowan all of Dexter; one sister & husband, Angela & Don Jones of Dexter; one brother and wife, Bruce & Kathy Vancil of Dexter. Other relatives and friends survive. He was preceded in death by one brother, John Norman Vancil.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 24, 2020, from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2020 at 2:00 pm with the Rev. William W. Hennecke of Dexter, Missouri officiating.
Interment will follow at the Dexter Cemetery in with Watkins and Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of all arrangements.
