On July 18, 2024, the world has lost a beloved soul, Vivian Freeda Moore, who passed away in Bloomfield, Missouri. Vivian was born on February 21, 1936, in Swinton, Missouri, to Carl Alfred and Frona Geneva (Tolbert) Pruitt. Vivian was a cherished member of her community and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Her life was marked by her unwavering faith, and she found great joy in actively serving at Cornerstone Tabernacle Church in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. Known for her warm smile and kind heart, Vivian touched the lives of many with her generosity and compassion.
Beyond her commitment to her church family, Vivian had a passion for gardening, shopping, and most of all spending quality time with her loved ones.
On May 16, 1953, Vivian married the love of her life, Hershel L. Moore, in Aquilla, Missouri and they remained married until the time of his passing on July 30, 1996.
In mourning Vivian's departure are her surviving family members: two sons, Michael Moore and Brit and wife Marsha Moore of Poplar Bluff; one daughter, Sonja Moore of Poplar Bluff; thirteen grandchildren, and fifty-two great-grandchildren, and a large circle of extended church family and friends, as well as many nieces and nephews. She leaves behind cherished memories that will be forever treasured by those whose lives she touched.
Vivian was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and two brothers Dwain and Carson Pruitt. Though she may have left this world behind, the legacy of love and kindness that she leaves behind will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to have known her.
