Vivian Joan Merideth, 88, of Bloomfield, Missouri passed away July 11, 2020 at her home in Bloomfield. Vivian was the daughter of the late Albert Edward and Essie Mae Pulliam Choat, she was born in Dudley, Missouri, on February 10, 1932, and was of the Pentecost faith. She was retired from housekeeper for Cypress Point Nursing Home. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, and her grandchildern and great grandchildren and reading her bible. Vivian was married to Walter (Tom, Bill) Merideth on October 23, 1948, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, and he passed away on June 7, 1995. Vivian is survived by her daughter and son in law, Cindy (Ron) Gillespie of Bloomfield, Missouri; one son and daughter in law, Mike (Leanna) Merideth, of Jackson, Missouri; She has five grandchildren, Holly (Darin) Davis, Ron (Tabitha) Simmons, Joe Simmons, Tara (David) Tompkins, Amber (Daniel) Tompkins, and eleven great grandchildren, Kyleigh, Carter, Tyler, Adalynn, Kendra, Dierks, Caleb, Kaylyn, Kaylee, Brianna, Layla; one sister, Mary Brown, of Texas. Other family and many friends survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers Issac, Howard, Charles Choat; three sisters Edna Scates, Jean Mattingly, Glenda Propst. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 17, 2020, after 11:00 am at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter until time of services at 12:00 pm with Kenneth Lambert of Bloomfield and Travis Lambert of Lilbourn Missouri officiating. Interment will be in the Bloomfield Cemetery, Bloomfield, Missouri with Watkins and Sons of Dexter in charge of the arrangements.
