Virgie (Graham) White, the daughter of the late John Austin and Gennie Elizabeth Hawkins Fielder, was born in Point Pleasant, Missouri, on September 29, 1919, and passed away at the Crowley Ridge Care Center in Dexter, Missouri on January 21, 2011, at the age of 91 years, 3 months and 23 days.
She had lived in Gideon & Bragg City, Missouri before moving to Dudley 45 years ago. She was a member of the Dudley Baptist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed playing bingo, fishing and eating out.
Surviving are two sons, Carl Graham of Dexter, Missouri, Orval E. Graham, Jr. of O'Fallon, Missouri; one daughter, Edna E. Cross of Jackson, Missouri; four grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; and one brother, Lester Fielder of DeSoto, Missouri. Many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by six brothers and three sisters.
Visitation will be held Monday, January 24, 2011, after 1:00 pm at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.
Services will be held Monday, January 24, 2011, at 3:00 pm in the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter with the Rev. John McFarland of Dudley, Missouri officiating.
Interment will be in the Dudley Cemetery in Dudley, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
