Vienna Kraetzner, daughter of the late Sam and Elsie Pakkonen Saari, was born in Duluth, Minnesota on April 23, 1918, and passed away at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice Center in Jonesboro, Arkansas on October 29, 2010, at the age of 92 years, 6 months and 11 days.
She had lived most of her life in Two Harbors and Minneapolis, Minnesota and had moved to Arkansas in April of 2010. She was a member of the New Life Evangelical Lutheran Church in Minnestoa. She enjoyed sewing and dancing.
In 1986, she was married to Walter Kraetzner.
Surviving are her husband, Walter Kraetzner of Shoreview, Minnesota; one daughter, Joanne North of Jonesboro, Arkansas; one grandson, Dean Powell of Jonesboro, Arkansas, one granddaughter, Amy Higgins of Jonesboro, Arkansas; three step-sons; one step-daughter; one brother, George Saari of Minneapolis, Minnesota; and one sister, Aili Baker of Eatonville, Washington. Other relatives and friends survive. She was preceded in death by one son, Roger Landmark.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, November 2, 2010, at 11:00 AM in the Puxico Cemetery in Puxico, Missouri.
Interment will be in the Puxico Cemetery in Puxico, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Puxico in charge of arrangements.
