Valerie Dockery

Valerie Denise Dockery, the daughter of G. L. Jones and Martha Simon was born in Dexter, Missouri on May 24, 1968, and passed away at the Poplar Bluff Regional Hospital in Poplar Bluff, Missouri on January 3, 2009 at the age of 40 years, 7 months and 10 days. Mrs. Dockery had lived in Poplar Bluff most all her life. She was of the Baptist faith. In 1989, she was married to Randy Dockery in New Madrid, Missouri. Surviving are her father G. L. Jones; her Mother, Martha Cook Simon of Parma, Missouri; three sons, Isaiah, Cameron and Quinton Cook all of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; two daughters: Krystal Dockery and Whitney Cook both of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; two grandchildren; two brothers, Leroy Cook of Indiana and Elbert Cook of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; two sisters, Louraine Mallory of Steele, Missouri and Emma Johnson of Malden, Missouri. Other relatives and friends also survive. Friends may call on Thursday, January 8, 2009, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 8, 2009, at 12:00 PM in the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter, Missouri with Rev. Moses Grayson of Essex, Missouri officiating. Interment will be in the Macedonia Cemetery in Malden, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
