Valera Cooper Knagg, daughter of the late Roy and Cora Cooper, a native of Puxico, Missouri passed away July 7, 2010, at her home in Garland, Texas at the age of 90 years.
Val had been a school teacher for 50 years, was a member of the Axe Memorial United Methodist Church for 50 years and was a Sunday School teacher for 33 years.
She married John A. Knagg in 1944, and was his loving wife for 66 years.
Surviving are her husband, John Knagg of Garland, Texas, three sons and spouses, Richard & Bea Knagg, Stephen & Cheryl Knagg, Chris & Lynda Knagg; three brothers, Ralph, Homer, and Frank Cooper; two sisters, Edith Cooper and Lois Rhodes; grandchildren, John Knagg and wife Terri, Cody Knagg, Rachel Gasch and husband Bill, Eric Knagg and wife Jennifer, Abby Cloud and husband Blake, Alex Knagg, Matthew Knagg and Mariah Knagg; and two great-granddaughters, Zoie Gasch and Allie Knagg.
Visitation and services were held in Garland, Texas.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday July 17, 2010, at 2:00 PM in the Puxico City Cemetery in Puxico, Missouri.
Interment will follow in the Puxico Cemetery with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Puxico, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
