Toni Evans, the daughter of the late Clifton S. and Lydia Lois Crank Leirer, was born in Dexter, Missouri on March 15, 1959, and passed away at the Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri on July 5, 2006, at the age of 47 years, 3 months and 20 days.
Mrs. Evans along with her husband were the former owners of B.J.'s III in Puxico, Missouri and she had also worked as a sales representative and plant manager with Waupaca Materials in Sikeston, Missouri. She was a graduate of Bloomfield High School and had attended Southeast Missouri State for two years, she was a member of the United Methodist Church in Puxico, the Puxico VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post # 7825, and the Puhicah Club of Puxico. She enjoyed gardening, decorating, shopping and her grandson Jackson.
On October 6, 1979, she was married to Eldon Evans in Bloomfield, Missouri.
Surviving are her husband Eldon Evans of Puxico, Missouri; one son, Josh Evans of St. Louis, Missouri; one daughter and son in law, Jessica and Mark Christian of Thompsons Station, Tennessee; one grandson, Jack Christian of Thompsons Station, Tennessee; three brothers and wives, Glen L. & Alice Leirer of Panama City Beach, Florida, Walter L. & Brenda Leirer of Destin, Florida, Richard Wayne and Terri Leirer of Carmel, Indiana; five sisters and husbands, Dora & Carol Bailey of Fort Worth, Texas, Ann & Odis Lewis of Puxico, Missouri, Pat & Dick Wilcox of Springfield, Missouri, Fay Robertson of Perryville, Missouri and Lydia K. Leirer of Kansas City, Missouri. Other relatives and many friends also survive.
Friends may call after 4:00 PM on Friday, July 7, 2006, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Puxico, Missouri.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 8, 2006, at 1:00 PM at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Puxico, Missouri with the Rev. Dennis Doublin of Puxico, Missouri officiating.
Interment will be in the Fairview Cemetery near Puxico, Missouri with Watkins and Sons Funeral Home of Puxico, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
