Thelma Lee Husted

Thelma Lee Husted, daughter of the late George Harrison and Bessie Myrtle Wakefield White, was born in Senath, Missouri on March 31, 1922, and passed away at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Missouri on April 29, 2016, at the age of 94 years and 29 days. Thelma had lived most of her life in Parma, Missouri. She was a member of the Parma United Methodist Church and was active in the United Methodist Women. On April 8, 1962, she married Dr. George W. Husted, M.D. in Parma, Missouri. He preceded her in death on November 30, 1971. Surviving are one son, George "Gerry" Husted of Parma, Missouri; four grandchildren. Other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Dolly Leigh; four brothers and three sisters. Friends may call after 11:00 am on Monday, May 2, 2016, at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Parma, Missouri. Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 2, 2016, at 2:00 pm at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Parma, Missouri with Rev. Roy Sherfield of Dexter, Missouri officiating. Interment will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Malden, Missouri. Watkins & Sons Funeral Home of Parma, Missouri in charge of all arrangements.
