Thelma I. Crabtree Thelma I Crabtree, the daughter of the late Everett and Minnie Kelly Boone, was born in Bernie, Missouri on March 16, 1920, and passed away at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri on October 6, 2007, at the age of 87 years, 6 months and 23 days. Mrs. Crabtree grew up in Bernie, Missouri before moving with her husband to St. Louis in 1961. In 1972 She and her family moved to Dexter where she lived until moving to Ellsinore to be closer to her family. She was a member of the Southwest Church of the Nazarene in Dexter and retired from Elders Manufacturing where she worked as a seamstress. On March 4, 1961 she was married to Alvie O. Crabtree in Bernie, Missouri. He preceded her in death on January 13, 2003. Surviving are her son Keith Crabtree of Florisant, Missouri. Three Daughters: Doris Noble of Fremont, Missouri, Charlotte Newman of Ellsinore, Missouri and Diane Hamilton of Williamtown, Missouri. One Sister: Pansy McGowan of Dexter, Missouri. Thirteen grand children, 22 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, three sisters: Mable McGowan, Louise Barnes, Joyce Massengill, one brother: Bill Nunn and one great grandchild. Other relatives and many friends also survive. Friends may call on Tuesday October 9, 2007 after 5:00 till 8:00 PM at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 10, 2007 at 11:00 AM at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri with the Rev. Gene Riddle of Poplar Bluff, Missouri officiating. Interment will be in the Hagy Cemetery in Dexter, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
