Thelma Biggs
Thelma Biggs, the daughter of the late Michael and Martha Pixley Feeler, was born in Remmington, Indiana on November 27, 1914, and passed away at the Missouri Southern Healthcare Facility in Dexter, Missouri on May 18, 2005, at the age of 90 years, 5 months and 21 days.
Mrs. Biggs had lived in Memphis and Salem, Indiana all her life until moving to Dexter, Missouri in five months ago. She was a member of the Memphis General Baptist Church in Memphis, Indiana.
On March 20, 1937, she was married to Raymond Biggs. He preceded her in death in December of 1988.
Surviving are four sons: Kenneth Biggs of Dexter, Missouri, Morris Biggs of New Albany, Indiana, Michael Biggs of Austin, Indiana, Keith Biggs of Columbus, Indiana, two daughters: Janice Coats of Scottsburg, Indiana, Marilyn Coats of Salem, Indiana, 16 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by two brothers: Charlie and Cecil Feeler.
Friends may call from 3:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Friday, May 20, 2005 at the Stewart Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2005, at 2:00 P.M. in the Stewart Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana with the Rev. Kenneth Biggs, Mike Biggs and Rob Sheet all officiating.
Interment will be in the Scottsburg Cemetery in Scottsburg, Indiana with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, Missouri in charge of local arrangements.
