Thomas R. "Bud" Meadows, the son of the late Thomas Alan and Kathryn Orr Chapin, was born in Pontiac, Michigan on August 10, 1935, and passed away at his residence in Dudley, Missouri on March 19, 2010, at the age of 74 years, 7 months and 9 days.
Mr. Meadows had lived in the Dudley, Missouri area for his whole life. He was a member of the Dudley Community Church. He also was an interim pastor and preacher.
On July 10, 1954 he was married to Janet McDonald in Corinth, Mississippi.
Surviving are his wife, Janet Meadows of the home in Dudley, Missouri; one son and daughter in law, Larry & Carol Meadows of Dudley, Missouri; two daughters and son in law, Cathy & Douglas Sturgeon of Dexter, Missouri, Jayne Brown of Dudley, Missouri; seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; one brother, Miles Meadows of Dexter, Missouri; one sister, Sharon Hill of Leawood, Kansas; and his stepfather, L.E. Chapin of Dudley, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his mother, grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. N. C. Orr and son-in-law Lloyd Brown. Other relatives and many friends also survive.
Friends may visit after 12:30 PM on Monday, March 22, 2010, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 22, 2010, at 2:00 PM at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter, Missouri with the Rev. Ryan Helton of Poplar Bluff, Missouri officiating.
Burial will be in the Dudley Cemetery in Dudley, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
