Stephen Merriman

Stephen Merriman, the son of Dorothy Willard Schaffer and Albert Leon Merriman, was born in Anna, Illinois on March 25, 1958, and passed away at Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter, Missouri on October 15, 2008, at the age of 50 years, 6 months and 20 days. Mr. Merriman had lived in Anna, Illinois before moving to Dexter in 1988. He had been a construction worker and was of the Baptist faith. On February 8, 2003, he was married to Ronda Orton in Dexter, Missouri. Surviving are his wife, Ronda Merriman of Dexter, Missouri; mother, Dorothy Schaffer of Anna, Illinois; one daughter, Natalie Clark; one granddaughter; three sisters, Carolyn Harvell and Judy Johnson both of Jonesboro, Illinois, and Betty Bellamy of Vienna, Illinois. Other relatives and many friends also survive. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 21, 2008, at 2:00 PM at the Watkins and Sons Chapel in Dexter, Missouri with the Rev. Kenneth Biggs of Dexter, Missouri officiating. Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
