Sibyl Wilson
Sibyl Wilson, the daughter of the late Tom S. and Annie Laura Barnes Woodson, was born in Monett, Arkansas on September 6, 1915, and passed away at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Missouri on July 30, 2005, at the age of 89 years, 10 months and 24 days.
Mrs. Wilson had been a resident of Morehouse, Missouri since 1969. She had also lived in Ft. Hood, Texas, Flint, Michigan and in Florida before moving to Morehouse. She was a home maker and a member of the Oneness Pentecost faith.
On January 7, 1932, she was married to Joe Seaphus Wilson in Parma, Missouri. He preceded her in death on September 30, 1974.
Surviving are three sons, Bobby P. Wilson of Morehouse, Missouri, Lanny "Joe" Wilson of Sikeston, Missouri, Darrel Wilson of LeRoy, Illinois; 17 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren; two brothers, Avery Woodson of Morehouse, Missouri, Richard Woodson of Christmas, Florida; and one sister, Wanda Copeland of Alabama. Other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by three sons, Kenneth, Jimmy and Donald Wilson.
Friends may call from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Monday, August 1, 2005, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Morehouse, Missouri.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, August 2, 2005, at 2:00 P.M. in the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Morehouse, Missouri with Rev. E. J. McDougal of Sikeston, Missouri officiating.
