Shirley Newman

Shirley Jean Newman, the daughter of Ruby Thompson Sample and the late Theodore Sample, was born in Poplar Bluff, Missouri on June 11, 1941 , and passed away at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri on July 18, 2008, at the age of 67 years, 1 months and 7 days. Mrs. Newman had lived in Dexter Missouri. She was of the Catholic faith . She was a member of the Dexter Eagles Lodge. She was married to Larry Newman he preceded her in death on July 11, 1993. Surviving is her Mother Ruby Thompson Sample, two Daughters Tammy Newman of Jonesboro, Arkansas; and Teresa Cobb of Dexter, Missouri; one brother Tom Sample of Poplar Bluff, Missouri five grandchildren. Other relatives and many friends also survive. Friends may call after 11:00 AM on Monday July 21, 2008 at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter Missouri. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 21, 2008, at 2:00 PM at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter, Missouri with Rev. Charles Medley of Potosi, Missouri officiating. Interment will be in the Dexter Cemetery in Dexter, Missouri with Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
