Shirley Ellis

Shirley Ann Ellis, the daughter of the late Homer Hubert and Margaret Lois Hudgens Perrigan, was born in Dexter, Missouri on June 8, 1940, and passed away at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston Missouri on December 6, 2008, at the age of 68 years, 5 month and 28 days. Shirley lived her whole life in the Dexter and Morehouse areas.. She was of the Baptist Faith. On November 3, 1955 she was married to Billy Joe Ellis in Bloomfield, Missouri. Surviving are her husband Billy Joe Ellis of Morehouse, Missouri and one sister: Margaret Louise Layton of Bethalto, Illinois. Many nieces and nephews. Other relatives and friends also survive. She is preceded in death by one brother, Billy Gene Perrigan and one sister JoAnn Leonard.. Friends may call after 5:00 PM till 8:00 PM on Monday, December 8, 2008, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Morehouse, Missouri. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 9, 2008, at 2:00 PM at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Morehouse, Missouri with the Rev. Amos Johnson of Sikeston, Missouri officiating. Burial will follow in the Bernie Cemetery in Bernie, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Morehouse, Missouri in charge of arrangements
