Shirley Britton

Shirley Ilene Britton, daughter of the late Sylvester and Ada Bell Eaton Razer, was born in Essex, Missouri on July 6, 1938, and passed away at her home in Dexter, Missouri on September 7, 2012, at the age of 74 years, 2 months, and 1 day. Mrs. Britton lived in the Essex and Dexter area all her life. She attended the First Baptist Church in Essex. On March 14, 1980, she was married to Gary Donald Britton in Dexter, Missouri. He preceded her in death on June 12, 1995 . Surviving are one daughter, Tracy Ann Bijeaux of Lafayette, Louisiana; eight grandchildren, Melinda Roberts of Bloomfield, Missouri, Randy Fincher, Jr. of Dudley, Missouri, Joshua Fincher of Bloomfield, Missouri, Brian Cross of Dexter, Missouri, Jason Rangel of Honolulu, Hawaii, Rebecca Rangel of Fair Oaks, California, Sarah Rangel of Lafayette, Louisiana, Hannah Bijeaux of Lafayette, Louisiana; eleven great grandchildren; and one brother, Ronnie Razer of Wappapello, Missouri. Other family and friends also survive her. She was preceded in death by one son, Randall Lee Fincher, two daughters, Melba Diann Cross and Sheryl Verlene Alberson; one grandson, Darren Cross; and four brothers, Manford Razer, Bill Razer, Sidney Razer, and Bob Razer. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 11, 2012, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, September 12, 2012, at 2:00 PM at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter, Missouri with Rev. Dennis Ward of Poplar Bluff, Missouri officiating. Interment will be in the Hagy Cemetery in Dexter, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
