Shirley Alumbaugh, the daughter of Essie Trammell Crank and the late J. D. Crank, was born in Dudley, Missouri on April 25, 1939, and passed away at the Missouri Southern Healthcare facility in Dexter, Missouri on January 16, 2007, at the age of 67 years, 8 months and 22 days.
Mrs. Alumbaugh had lived most of her life in Pontiac, Michigan and had moved to Parma, Missouri eleven years ago. She had attended the Church of God in Dexter, Missouri.
On June 2, 1978, she was married to James E. Alumbaugh in Orchard Lake, Michigan.
Surviving are her husband, James E. Alumbaugh of Parma, Missouri; three sons, Steven Meadows of Waterford, Michigan, Jayson Fouse of Clarkston, Michigan, Aaron Fouse of Royal Oak, Michigan; three daughters, Sharon Meadows, Deborah Broadwater and Dyanne Woody all of Waterford, Michigan; her mother, Essie Crank of Dexter, Missouri; nine grandchildren; and one great grandchild. Other relatives and many friends also survive. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Darrell and Jim Crank.
Friends may call on Wednesday, January 17, 2007, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 18, 2007, at 11:00 AM at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter, Missouri with the Rev. M. L. Duffie of Dexter, Missouri officiating.
Interment will follow in the Missouri Veteran's Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri with Watkins and Sons Funeral Home of Dexter, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
