Puxico

Shelby Jean Schulte, born Shelby Jean Long on September 1, 1937, in Brown Wood, has peacefully passed away on April 11, 2024, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. She was a dedicated individual who spent many years contributing her talents and hard work to the Inland Shoe Company.

Shelby had a deep passion for life and indulged in various hobbies and interests such as working on word search puzzles, playing card games - especially Rummy, spoiling her dearly loved children and grandchildren, but above all, she cherished having her family close and spending quality time with them.

In remembrance of Shelby's life, a visitation event will be held at the First General Baptist Church of Puxico in Puxico, Missouri on April 16, 2024, starting at 12:00 PM and followed by a Funeral Service at 1:00 PM at the same location.

She is survived by her beloved husband Ernest Schulte; loving children Wm. "Bill" Cooper (wife Patty), Justin Schulte (wife Cassandra), Gina McGowen (husband Bobby), Janet Rany (husband David); caring sister Kathy Hale (husband Bill). Fourteen loving and adorable grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Shelby is now reunited in eternity with her father William Otis Long, mother Nora Jean Shirrel, brother Ray Dean Long, sister Shirley Long, and sister Sylvia Collins. And four very precious granddaughters.

Shelby Jean Schulte will be fondly remembered for her warmth, kindness, and the love she shared with all those fortunate enough to know her. Her legacy of love and devotion to family will forever hold a special place in the hearts of those she leaves behind. May she rest in peace.
