Sharon Darlene Stickles

Dexter

Sharon Darlene Stickles of Dexter, Missouri, daughter of the late Walter Edward Politte and Tina Elizabeth (Foster) Politte  was born on March 10, 1947 in St. Louis, Missouri, and went to be with the Lord on December 25, 2022, in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, at the age of 75.
    Sharon lived in the St. Louis are until her early twenties when she moved to the Dexter area to spend her life with her husband. She worked as a custodian in the Dexter School System.  Her favorite pastime was reading her Bible and channel surfing the Christian Channels.  Sharon loved being outside and her world revolved around spending time with family, especially her grand children. She never knew a stranger.  Sharon was of the Baptist Faith.
    Sharon married the love of her life, Roy Lee Stickles, Sr., on September 18, 1967, in St. Louis, Missouri, and remained married until his passing on October 2, 2002.
     Sharon is survived by one son, Roy Lee (Laura) Stickles of Bloomfield, Missouri; three daughters, Tina Griffin of Campbell, Missouri, Linda (Philip) Honeycutt of Dexter, Missouri, and Toni Stickles of Dexter, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Kortney and Bri Hicks of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Chris and Morgan Stickles of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, Michael and Lacey Griffin of Dexter, Missouri, Laura and Jordan Carmack of Bloomfield, Missouri, Sean Honeycutt of Dexter, Missouri; Kaylee Honeycutt of Dexter, Missouri; Matthew Honeycutt of Dexter, Missouri; three great - grandchildren plus one on the way, Zoey, Kora, and River; Two sisters, Judy Young of St. Louis, Missouri, and Kathy Politte of Farmington, Missouri, Adopted grandchild, Houston Lafferty as well as a host of family and friends. 
     She was proceeded in death by her parents; her husband; one daughter, Betty Stickles; five siblings, Walter Politte, Jr., Shirley Whitehouse, Freddie Politte, Betty Barton and Brenda Langley.    
     Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri.
     Funeral Services will follow at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Charles Robertson of Bloomfield, Missouri, officiating and Watkins and Sons Funeral Home of Dexter, Missouri in charge of all arrangements.
         Interment will follow at Hagy Cemetery in Dexter, Missouri.
