Sadie Buttry, the daughter of the late John and Myrtle Hill Atchison, was born in Kinder, Missouri on August 29, 1916, and passed away at the DePaul Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri on September 5, 2006, at the age of 90 years, and 7 days.
She had lived in Puxico, Missouri before moving to St. Louis 46 years ago. She enjoyed gardening and being around her children and grandchildren.
In September 1956 she was married to James Buttry in Mississippi.
Surviving are her husband: J. D. Buttry of St. Louis, Missouri, two sons and daughters-in-law: Carl and Mary Atchison of St. Louis, Missouri and James and Tracy Buttry of St. Louis, Missouri, two daughters and sons-in-law: Wilena and Derrell Wiggains of High Ridge, Missouri and Beverly and Robert White of St. Louis, Missouri, five grandsons: Dean, Brett, Carl, Kenny and Bob, four great-grandsons: Joey, Brian, Trent, Orion, four grandaughters: Nancy, Penny, Sherry and Keri, ten great grandaughters: Hanna, Sarah, Emily, Rachel, Ashley, Angela, Kaylee, Cassie, Audrey and Tia and one brother: Charles Jasper Burns of Puxico, Missouri. Other relatives and friends also survive.
She was preceded in death by Three brothers: Johnnie, Ray and Roy Atchison. One Sister Omega Wilfong.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2006, at 10:00 A.M. at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Puxico, Missouri with Rev. John Buttry and Ray Placher both of Puxico, Missouri officiating.
Interment will follow in the Brown Cemetery near Puxico, Missouri. Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Puxico, Missouri in charge of all arrangements.
