Ruth Temple of Dexter, the daughter of the late Victor B. and Ola Lilly Malkowski, was born in Centerville, Texas on November 18, 1939, and passed away on December 7, 2020, at Southeast Health of Stoddard County, Missouri, at the age of 81 years due to complications from COVID.
Ruth married James Temple, on December 15, 1957 in Hernando, Mississippi and he preceded her in death on October 19, 2008. She worked as the Deputy Circuit Court Clerk for Stoddard County before retiring. She had lived in the Puxico area since around 1959. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary Post 7822 and was in the Women's Democratic Club. She was formerly Mayor of Puxico and she was a member of the Asherville Church of Christ.
Surviving are her three daughters, Deborah (Don) Mueller of St. Louis Missouri, Kathy Temple Scott of Dexter, Missouri, and Michelle (Robert) Thomason of Dudley, Missouri; one son Roy (Stacie) Temple of Kansas City, Missouri; eight grandchildren, Donnie Mueller, Aaron Mueller, Rachel Mueller, Nathan Scott, Christa Scott, Adam Thomason, Natalie Temple and Lily Temple; three great grandchildren Benjamin Mueller, Ava Mueller, and Dexter Mueller. Other relatives and friends survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and two sisters.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday December 9, 2020 from 5 to 8 pm at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Puxico. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, December 10, 2020 at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Puxico, Missouri, with Watkins and Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
