Ruth Louise Black, the daughter of the late Ivan and Ruth Louise Paris Kirkman, was born in Arwarel, Arkansas on April 26, 1931, and passed away at Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter, Missouri on April 9, 2007, at the age of 75 years, 11 months and 14 days.
Mrs. Black had lived all her life in the Dexter area. She was a home maker and a member of the Church of Christ.
On June 4, 1949, she was married to Robert R. Black in Piggott, Arkansas.
Surviving are her husband, Robert R. Black of Scott City, Missouri; three sons, Ricky L. Black of Rolla, Missouri, Ronnie U. Black of Bloomfield, Missouri, Wayne K. Black of Moberly, Missouri; two daughters, Mary K. Sander of Sikeston, Missouri, Trisha L. Sanders of Dexter, Missouri; sixteen grandchildren; many great grandchildren; four sisters, Joann Burleson and Sharon L. Kirkman both of Dexter, Missouri, Nellie Stewart of Rolla, Missouri, and Susan Murphy of Jefferson City, Missouri. Other relatives and many friends also survive. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Nelda J. Black; and three brothers, Charles, Frankie, and Jackie Kirkman.

Graveside Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 10, 2007, at 2:00 PM at the Hagy Cemetery in Dexter, Missouri with Bro. Dale Grissom of Dexter, Missouri officiating.
Interment will follow in the Hagy Cemetery in Dexter, Missouri with Watkins and Sons Funeral Home of Dexter, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
