Russell Davis

Russell E. Davis, the son of the late John J. and Ruby Sherwood Davis, was born in Grayridge, Missouri on July 15, 1931, and passed away at the Crowley Ridge Care Center in Dexter, Missouri on July 9, 2013, at the age of 81 years, 11 months and 24 days. He had lived in Grayridge all of his life. He had been a farmer and ran the Grocery Store in Grayridge for many years. In September of 1973 he was married to Johnnie Scott in Jackson, Missouri. Surviving are his wife, Johnnie Davis of Grayridge, Missouri; two sons, Michael E. Davis of Grayridge, Steven Davis of Mississippi; one daughter, Vicki West of Raliegh, North Carolina; three grandsons, Jeffery Davis of Puxico, John Davis of Mississippi, Jeremy Russell Davis of Essex; one granddaughter, Mikalyn Johnna Davis of Essex; one great grandchild; one sister, Joyce Barney of O'Fallon, Missouri. Other relatives and many friends also survive. He was preceded in death by one sister, Doris Acord. Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday July 11, 2013, at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter Missouri. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 12, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter, Missouri. Interment will be in the Essex Cemetery in Essex with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
