Ruby May Marler

Ruby M. Marler, the daughter of the late Sam and Bell Storey, was born in Oran, Missouri on January 27, 1918, and passed away at the Portageville Nursing Center in Portageville, Missouri on April 18, 2006, at the age of 88 years, 2 months and 22 days. Mrs. Marler was raised in the Wappapello, Missouri area and had lived in Portageville, Missouri for the last 18 years. On October 1, 1943, she was married to Clarence Edward Marler. He preceded her in death on June 16, 1990. Surviving are one son and his wife, Ron and Becky Marler of Portageville, Missouri; one sister: Verla Coffel of Holcolm, Missouri, one granddaughter, Kelly Ellis of Portageville, Missouri, two great grandchildren. Other friends and relatives also survive. She was preceded in death by her husband and one child who died in infancy. Friends may call after 10:00 AM on Thursday, April 20, 2006, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Puxico, Missouri. Graveside Funeral services will be held on Thursday April 20, 2006, at 11:00 AM at the Wappapello Cemetery in Wappapello, Missouri with the Rev. John Keel of Hayti, Missouri officiating. Interment will be in the Wappapello Cemetery in Wappapello, Missouri with Watkins and Sons Funeral Home of Puxico, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
