Roy G. Kunkle, Jr., son of the late Roy G. Sr. and Mildred Baker Kunkle, was born in Hyde Park, Pennsylvania on December 14, 1928, and passed away at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau on November 5, 2012, at the age of 83 years, 10 months and 22 days.
He had lived Michigan for over 40 years and moved to Bloomfield in 1995. He had worked at Schriber Manufacturing as a machinist. He was a member of the First General Baptist Church in Bloomfield.
On February 6, 1953, he was married to Cora Rinehart in Piggott, Arkansas.
Surviving are his wife, Cora Kunkle of Bloomfield, Missouri; one son, Roy G. Kunkle, III of Fernandina Beach, Florida; two daughters, Jo Ann Lewellen of Minot, North Dakota, Linda Shelton of Knoxville, Tennessee; thirteen grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; one sister, Evelyn Clough of Trenton, Michigan. Other family and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by two daughters, Claudia Glaser and Marsha Salisbury; two brothers, Charles and Bill Kunkle; and one sister, Isabelle Stroup.
There are no services scheduled.
Interment will be in the North Antioch Cemetery near Bloomfield, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
