Roxie Crisel Roxie Crisel, daughter of the late Byron and Nancy Jane Haddock DeCelis, was born in McGee, Missouri on March 15, 1917, and passed away at the Mingo Residential Care Facility near Puxico, Missouri on May 21, 2007, at the age of 90 years, 2 months and 6 days. Mrs. Page had lived her early years in McGee, Missouri and lived in St. Louis, Missouri a few years before returning to Puxico. She began working at the Puxico Schools as a cook and was an accomplished seamstress. She was a member of the Brown General Baptist Church near Puxico, Missouri and she enjoyed gardening, growing flowers, cooking, singing at church, reading and visiting with grandchildren. On July 3, 1941, she was married to Herbert E. "Gene" Crisel of Leora. After 64 years of marriage he preceded her in death on April 6, 2006. Surviving are four children, Jerry Crisel, twins Larry Crisel and wife Sharon and Lola Fowler and husband Harvey, and Stan Crisel and wife, Myshena, all of Puxico, Missouri; ten grandchildren, Tim Fowler and wife Lori of Oliver Springs, Tennessee, Mike Crisel and wife Angie of Thompsonville, Illinois, Steve Crisel and wife Amy, Linda Roberts and husband Rob, Sherry Randl and husband Richard, Mark Crisel and wife Jenny, Hillary Mayberry and husband David, Hayley Crisel, Taylor Crisel, and Trinity Crisel all of Puxico, Missouri; five great-grandchildren, twins Danielle and Johnathon Roberts, T. C. Fowler, MacKenzie and Carter Crisel; one brother, Dorse DeCelis of Advance, Missouri; two sisters, Betty Haynie of Advance, Missouri, Rita Hodge of Petersburg, Illinois, two half-sisters, Shirley Sixgun of Edwardsville, Illinois, Marilee Jines of Bernie, Missouri and one half-brother, Butch DeCelis of Imperial, Missouri. Other relatives and many friends also survive. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter in law, Evelyn Jane Crisel. Friends may call on Wednesday, May 21, 2007, after 6:00 PM at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Puxico, Missouri. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, May 24, 2007, at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Puxico, Missouri with Rev. Johnny Buttry and Rev. Ray Placher both of Puxico, Missouri officiating. Interment will follow in the Puxico Cemetery in Puxico, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Puxico, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
