Rose Marie Nichols, daughter of the late Nathaniel and Ida Wilson Lewis, was born in Parma, Missouri, on March 17, 1931, and passed away at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri on March 14, 2012, at the age of 80 years, 11 months and 26 days. Mrs. Nichols had lived in Parma all of her life. She worked as a secretary at the Parma Public Schoools and was a member of the General Baptist Church in Parma, Missouri. On December 3, 1949, she was married to Floyd Nichols in Piggott, Arkansas. He preceded her in death on December 24, 2009. Surviving are one daughter and spouse, Lisa & Bill Hilderbrand of Malden, Missouri; two sons and spouse, Tony Nichols of Parma, Missouri, Mike & Barbra Cowan Nichols of Malden, Missouri; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. Other family and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Carlton and Bob Lewis. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 16, 2012, at 1:00 PM at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Parma Missouri. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM in the Watkins and Sons Chapel in Parma, Missouri. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Malden, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Parma in charge of arrangements.
