Rose Annetta Heskett of Advance, daughter of the late Robert E. Lee and Ann Etta Copeland Best, was born in Eminence, Missouri on November 1, 1919, and passed away at her home in Advance, Missouri on September 13, 2014, at the age of 94 years, 10 months and 12 days.
She had lived in Arnold, Missouri for many years, moved to Zalma in 1976 and later moved to Advance. She had worked at Quick Point Pencil Company for 35 years. After moving to Zalma she and her husband owned and operated the Zalma Liquor Store and then Joe's Place in Advance.
On December 6, 1947, she was married to Joseph Harding "Joe" Heskett in St. Louis.
Surviving are her husband, Joe Heskett of Advance; one son & wife, Michael & Bonnie Heskett of Fenton; five daughters & husbands, Pamela Jo & Dennis Pittman of Millersville, Deborah J. Kahl of Cape Girardeau, Vickie G. & Randy Rhodes of Zalma, Brenda Lea Abernathy and Sharon R. Wade both of Advance; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-four great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren. Other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by two sisters and four brothers.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 15, 2014, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 16, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter, Missouri.
Interment with be in the Missouri Veteran's Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
