RosaLee Williams, daughter of the late Earnest and Myrtle Jose Wills Duniphan, was born in McGee, Missouri on October 2, 1927, and passed away at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri on April 12, 2010, at the age of 82 years, 6 months and 10 days.
She had lived in the McGee, Missouri area all of her life. She was a member of the Bright Prospect General Baptist Church in McGee and the McGee Good Neighbor Extenson Club. She had taught school, was the assistant post mistress at the McGee Post Office and had worked at Inland Shoe Factory in Advance, Missouri.
On March 28, 1947, she was married to Eugene Francis Williams in Piggott, Arkansas. He preceded her in death on April 21, 1986.
Surviving are three sons and spouses, Rudy & Pam Williams and Reggie & Lorie Williams all of Puxico, Missouri, Ricky & Frances Williams of McGee, Missouri; six grandchildren and spouses, Robb & Pam Williams, Randy & Jodie Williams, Brock & Ashley Williams, Mandy Williams, Clay Harty, Makayla Harty, two great grandchildren, Mia and Korbin Williams; two sisters, Hazel Cooley of Montclair, California and Melba Matthews of Tomball, Texas. Other relatives and friends survive. She was preceded in death by one sister, Alma Meadors, and three brothers, Alvin, Paul and Vernon Duniphan.
Visitation will be Wednesday, April 14, 2010, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Puxico.
Services will be held Thursday, April 15, 2010, at 11:00 AM in the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Puxico with the Rev. Ray Placher of Puxico, Missouri officiating.
Interment will be in the New Hope Cemetery near Puxico, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Puxico in charge of arrangements.
